{"id":7423,"date":"2019-06-07T12:25:03","date_gmt":"2019-06-07T19:25:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=7423"},"modified":"2019-06-07T12:25:04","modified_gmt":"2019-06-07T19:25:04","slug":"train-tracks-removal-to-impact-traffic-on-south-1st-street-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/train-tracks-removal-to-impact-traffic-on-south-1st-street-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Train Tracks Removal to Impact Traffic on South 1st Street"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Removal of deactivated train\ntracks will result in the daytime closure of a portion of South 1<sup>st<\/sup>\nStreet from Monday, June 10<sup>th<\/sup> through Thursday, June 13<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the project is underway,\nSouth 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street between Pacific Avenue and Arlington Street will be\nclosed to traffic.&nbsp; Work on the project\nwill take place from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm from June 10<sup>th<\/sup> through June\n13<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers can expect delays in the\nproject area. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is\ncompleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the\nspeed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is\n20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to businesses in the\nproject area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will\nbe allowed through the project area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project may\ncause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection.
