{"id":7429,"date":"2019-06-10T14:37:43","date_gmt":"2019-06-10T21:37:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=7429"},"modified":"2019-06-10T14:37:44","modified_gmt":"2019-06-10T21:37:44","slug":"irrigation-line-repair-to-impact-traffic-at-tieton-and-5th-avenue-intersection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/irrigation-line-repair-to-impact-traffic-at-tieton-and-5th-avenue-intersection\/","title":{"rendered":"Irrigation Line Repair to Impact Traffic at Tieton and 5th Avenue Intersection"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A project to repair a leak in a\nCity of Yakima irrigation line will impact traffic in the area of the\nintersection of 5<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and Tieton Drive for most of the day on\nTuesday, June 11<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While work is\nunderway, eastbound traffic on Tieton Drive between 7<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 5<sup>th<\/sup>\nAvenue may be reduced to one lane or otherwise altered to accommodate the\nproject.&nbsp; Crews will begin making repairs\nto the irrigation line at about 7:00 am on June 11<sup>th<\/sup> and anticipate\ncompleting work by 4:00 pm that day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers can\nexpect delays in the project area.&nbsp;\nDrivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is\ncompleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are\nreminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zone within the\ncity of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to\nbusinesses and homes in the project area will be maintained as best as\npossible.&nbsp; Emergency vehicles, buses, and\nrefuse service vehicles will be allowed through the project areas when\nnecessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, the\nschedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on\nweather, equipment failure, and emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information about this project, contact Irrigation Supervisor Rich Sanislo at 509-575-6194.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Irrigation-Line-Repair-Project-News-Release.pdf\">Irrigation-Line-Repair-Project-News-Release<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/6\/files\/sites\/6\/Irrigation-Line-Repair-Project-News-Release.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A project to repair a leak in a City of Yakima irrigation line will impact traffic in the area of the intersection of 5th Avenue and Tieton Drive for most of the day on Tuesday, June 11th.
