“Space” is the theme\nfor the second annual Lego Tournament the City of Yakima’s Harman Center will\nhost from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 27th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

“Our hope is for a\nmulti-generational event, with parents, grandparents, children having fun\ntogether with Legos,” said Recreation Program Supervisor Leslie Richards.\n“It will be an opportunity for the community to sharpen its building\nskills and earn prizes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the\ntournament, McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand for photos. In addition,\nthere will be activity stations such as temporary tattoos, coloring and a\nspace-themed story time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contestants must pre-register for\nthe Lego contest by 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 25th<\/sup>. They can\npre-register at the Harman Center’s front desk at 101 N. 65th<\/sup> Avenue\nor by calling 575-6166.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prizes in the form of gift cards\ndonated by local businesses will be awarded to winning Lego entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the Harvest Lego User\nGroup will serve as judges for the competition. Bricks for Kidz will be at the\nevent as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
