Display"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Yakima Arts Commission is seeking\napplications for the Fall\/Winter 2019 Downtown Yakima Windows Alive! Project.\nThe deadline for artists to submit an application is 5:00 pm on Friday, August 30<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notification letters will be mailed to the\nartists selected for the Fall\/Winter display in early September<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An opening reception is planned October 4<sup>th<\/sup>\nto unveil the windows and open the exhibit to the public. The art work will be\ndisplayed through February 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the seventh season for the popular\nevent, which enables talented artists and groups of artists to display their\nworks and at the same time help invigorate empty downtown storefront windows.\nArtists residing in Yakima, Yakima County and elsewhere in Central Washington\nare invited to submit entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the selection process by the\nYakima Arts Commission, 6 projects will be chosen for the Fall\/Winter 2019\ndisplay. Individual artists or groups who are chosen to show their work in the\nwindows, which are primarily located along Yakima Avenue and on 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\nStreet, will be paid a $250 stipend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An application form and additional\ninformation concerning entry requirements are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.windowsalive.com\/Windows%20Alive%20Application%20and%20Call%20to%20Artist%20Fall%202019.pdf\">http:\/\/www.windowsalive.com\/Windows%20Alive%20Application%20and%20Call%20to%20Artist%20Fall%202019.pdf<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions about the project can also be sent to <a href=\"\\Users\\kcrocket\\Desktop\\yakimawindows@gmail.com\">yakimawindows@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All types of art work are welcome, including paintings,\ndrawings, fiber art, crafts, ceramics, photography, alternative materials and\nsculpture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current Windows Alive! installation will run through\nSeptember.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Windows Alive! was created by the Yakima Arts Commission,\nwhich serves as an advisory board to the Yakima City Council.
