{"id":7819,"date":"2019-10-02T12:04:47","date_gmt":"2019-10-02T19:04:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=7819"},"modified":"2019-10-02T12:04:49","modified_gmt":"2019-10-02T19:04:49","slug":"yakima-city-council-october-1st-regular-meeting-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/yakima-city-council-october-1st-regular-meeting-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Yakima City Council October 1st Regular Meeting Review"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Yakima City Council held a regular meeting yesterday,\nTuesday, October 1<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Action taken by the Council yesterday included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Approving an ordinance concerning cruising events, permitting eight\n     unrestricted annual Yakima Avenue cruising events to occur from 6 to 10 pm\n     on the second and third Saturdays in June, July, August and September.<\/li><li>Appropriating funds to address the no camping ordinance.<\/li><li>Abolishing the following City Council committees: Public Safety,\n     Economic Development, Partnership and Healthy Communities &amp;\n     Neighborhood Building.<\/li><li>Establishing an Appointment Committee.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to the regular meeting last\nnight, Tuesday, the City Council held a special meeting to interview two interim\ncity manager candidates via Skype.
