{"id":782,"date":"2013-06-28T10:42:04","date_gmt":"2013-06-28T17:42:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=782"},"modified":"2013-06-28T10:42:04","modified_gmt":"2013-06-28T17:42:04","slug":"pavement-repair-project-will-close-section-of-i-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/pavement-repair-project-will-close-section-of-i-street\/","title":{"rendered":"Pavement Repair Project Will Close Section of I Street"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Sunday, June 30<sup>th<\/sup> through Wednesday, July 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, closures of the section of I Street between 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street and 6<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will impact traffic in the area.\u00a0 Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and to find alternate routes.<\/p>\n<p>That section of I Street will be closed while pavement that has been removed during an industrial wastewater line installation project is repaired.<\/p>\n<p>TTC Construction, a Yakima-based firm, is serving as the primary contractor on the wastewater line installation line project that began earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, June 30<sup>th<\/sup>, I Street between 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street and 6<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue will be closed beginning at 6:00 pm to allow TTC crews to prepare the road surface for repairs.\u00a0 From Monday, July 1<sup>st<\/sup> through Wednesday, July 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, that section of I Street will be closed from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm each day while repairs are underway.<\/p>\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area of 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street, 5th Avenue, and I Street will occur as asphalt truck arrive and leave the project area.\u00a0 Again, drivers are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes until the project is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be impacted, but will be maintained when possible.
