It will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 26<sup>th<\/sup>,\nat the Yakima Area Arboretum. One of the sponsors is the Yakima Basin\nIntegrated Plan (YBIP) Water Use Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The focus is on creating water-wise\nlandscapes and gardens in our arid climate,&#8221; said City of Yakima Interim Public\nWorks Director David Brown, who chairs the YBIP&#8217;s Municipal Water Conservation Subgroup.\n&#8220;The workshop is being offered as part of the YBIP&#8217;s ongoing efforts in\nwater conservation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSe0cIAzrcQbkxbY-4M_03So7A85VeaE1mzBimBK0dKpQXuNFg\/viewform\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSe0cIAzrcQbkxbY-4M_03So7A85VeaE1mzBimBK0dKpQXuNFg\/viewform<\/a>\n&nbsp;to register for the workshop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The registration deadline is Wednesday, October 23<sup>rd<\/sup>.\nSpace is limited to 99 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides learning about water conservation,\nworkshop attendees will learn how to incorporate unique natural and cultural\nfeatures into landscapes and watch a presentation on wildflowers of the\nShrub-Steppe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hgcd.info\/calendar\">https:\/\/www.hgcd.info\/calendar<\/a> for\nmore about the free Heritage Garden Workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The October 26<sup>th<\/sup>\nworkshop continues the City of Yakima&#8217;s water conservation emphasis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last fall, the\nCity installed low-water use landscaping at the Public Works facility.
