Each machine is designed to remove up to three inches of snow per\nhour from a surface area of 2.28 million square feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGiven the airport encompasses\napproximately 5.57 million square feet of asphalt, it was important to add\nthese high-capacity machines to keep up with heavy winter snowfall,\u201d said\nAirport Director Rob Peterson.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No local tax funds were spent to\nacquire these machines.
