{"id":7888,"date":"2019-10-22T15:02:08","date_gmt":"2019-10-22T22:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=7888"},"modified":"2019-10-22T15:02:08","modified_gmt":"2019-10-22T22:02:08","slug":"speed-hump-installation-to-impact-traffic-on-portion-of-24th-avenue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/speed-hump-installation-to-impact-traffic-on-portion-of-24th-avenue\/","title":{"rendered":"Speed Hump Installation to Impact Traffic on Portion of 24th Avenue"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A speed hump installation project\nwill result in the closure of a portion of 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue on Wednesday,\nOctober 23<sup>rd<\/sup>.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the project is underway, the\nsection of 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue between Summitview Avenue and Lincoln Avenue\nwill be closed to through traffic.&nbsp; Work\non the project will take place from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm on October 23<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important that cars not be\nparked on the street on 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue between Summitview and Lincoln\nwhile the project is ongoing.&nbsp; Cars\nparked on that section of 24<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue during the project hours may\nbe towed at the owner\u2019s expense.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers can expect delays in the\nproject area. Detour routes around the project area will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the\nspeed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is\n20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to businesses in the\nproject area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will\nbe allowed through the project area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project may\ncause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection.
