{"id":8067,"date":"2019-12-10T14:04:55","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T22:04:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=8067"},"modified":"2019-12-10T14:10:53","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T22:10:53","slug":"sidewalk-improvement-project-to-impact-traffic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/sidewalk-improvement-project-to-impact-traffic\/","title":{"rendered":"Sidewalk Improvement Project to Impact Traffic"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A \u201cComplete\nStreets\u201d project to improve sidewalks will impact traffic through next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week, a\ncrew from Belsaas and Smith Construction is beginning the sidewalk project on\nViola Avenue between 10<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 4<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue. The area\nwill be accessible only to residents during the work hours of 7:00 am to 4:00\npm each week day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Future sidewalk improvement areas\nin this project include Swan Avenue from about 13<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue to\nCampbell Lane and Race Street from Naches Avenue to 7<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will include\nconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter, as well as installation of\nADA-compliant ramps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is anticipated the project\nwill be completed by the end of January 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the\nproject areas will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles\nwill be allowed through the project area if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project may\ncause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection.
