The position has a two-year\nterm and applicants must live within Yakima city limits. Appointments shall be\nmade to ensure that varied community perspectives are represented and, to the\nextent possible, reflect the current demographics of the City, including\nconsideration of historically underrepresented communities.&nbsp; The purpose and intent of the Community Integration\nCommittee is to advise the Yakima City Council on ways to improve community\nengagement; diversify the City government and workforce; provide additional\nreview of policies, ordinances and resolutions if requested; and give a voice\nto all Yakima residents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no residency requirement\nfor members of the Community Review Board, but the positions must represent\ndifferent aspects of the public as a whole.&nbsp;\nCurrently there is a vacancy on the board for a representative of the\nhealthcare community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tree City USA Board consists of five members and\napplicants must live within Yakima city limits. People with experience related\nto trees and other plantings, specifically people with training as arborists,\nare encouraged to apply, although not all positions on the board require such\nexperience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are seven members on the Board of Appeals\nwho serve three-year terms. The board currently requires a mechanical\ncontractor or a developer to fill one of its vacancies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are seven members of the Henry Beauchamp\nCommunity Center Advisory Board, all of whom serve four-year terms and must\nlive within Yakima city limits. Currently, there are two vacancies on this\nboard, which holds quarterly meetings and makes recommendations to the center\noperator and the City regarding management policies, operations, maintenance,\nand capital improvement needs.
