{"id":8472,"date":"2020-03-11T12:16:17","date_gmt":"2020-03-11T19:16:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=8472"},"modified":"2020-03-11T12:16:17","modified_gmt":"2020-03-11T19:16:17","slug":"water-service-installation-to-restrict-traffic-on-mead-avenue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/water-service-installation-to-restrict-traffic-on-mead-avenue\/","title":{"rendered":"Water Service Installation to Restrict Traffic on Mead Avenue"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Water service work will result in traffic restrictions on Mead Avenue between Voelker Avenue and 1<sup>st<\/sup> Street from tomorrow, Thursday, March 12<sup>th<\/sup>,through Friday March, 20<sup>th<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work on the project will begin at 7:00 am and last until 3:30 pm each weekday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traffic will be limited to one\nlane in both directions in the project area. Due to heavy traffic volumes on Mead Avenue, drivers can\nexpect delays and should use alternate routes\nif possible until the work is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit\nthrough all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20\nmiles-per-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to homes and businesses in the\nproject area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will\nbe allowed through the project area if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The repairs may\ncause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection.
