{"id":8667,"date":"2020-04-03T12:02:00","date_gmt":"2020-04-03T19:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=8667"},"modified":"2020-04-03T12:02:01","modified_gmt":"2020-04-03T19:02:01","slug":"yakima-city-council-april-7th-regular-meeting-preview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/yakima-city-council-april-7th-regular-meeting-preview\/","title":{"rendered":"Yakima City Council April 7th Regular Meeting Preview"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Yakima City Council will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, April 7<sup>th<\/sup>, in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agenda items for the April 7<sup>th<\/sup> regular meeting include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Issuing an Arbor Day Proclamation<\/li><li>Considering a proclamation extending the Mayor\u2019s order declaring an emergency and a resolution approving the Mayor\u2019s extension.<\/li><li>A public hearing at 6:00 pm to consider the Hearing Examiner\u2019s recommendation regarding a right-of-way petition submitted by Yakima Housing Authority.<\/li><li>Discussion concerning offering a permanent employment contract to Interim City Manager Alex Meyerhoff.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following restrictions will be in place for the April 7<sup>th<\/sup> meeting due to COVID-19:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Most of the Council members will be attending via telephone<\/li><li>Since Yakima City Hall is closed to public access, no community members can attend the meeting in person<\/li><li>No general public comment will take place during the meeting.<\/li><li>Public comment during the 6:00 pm public hearing is only available by calling 575-6001.
