{"id":8976,"date":"2020-06-12T10:30:41","date_gmt":"2020-06-12T17:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=8976"},"modified":"2020-06-12T10:30:42","modified_gmt":"2020-06-12T17:30:42","slug":"yakima-city-council-june-16th-regular-meeting-preview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/yakima-city-council-june-16th-regular-meeting-preview\/","title":{"rendered":"Yakima City Council June 16th Regular Meeting Preview"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Yakima City Council will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, June 16<sup>th<\/sup>, in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agenda items for the June 16<sup>th<\/sup> regular meeting include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Receiving a COVID-19 update.<\/li><li>An ordinance amending Yakima Municipal Code Section 9.25.020 to allow cruising on Yakima Avenue all Saturdays in June, July, August and September.<\/li><li>Discussion of a Truth and Reconciliation process for policing.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following precautions are in place for the June 16<sup>th<\/sup> meeting due to COVID-19:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The meeting will be conducted by speakerphone.<\/li><li>Since Yakima City Hall is closed to public access, no community members can attend the meeting in person.<em><\/em><\/li><li>Two public hearings are planned at 6:00 pm during the June 16<sup>th<\/sup> meeting. Anyone wishing to comment during either hearing should call 571-6001 once the respective hearings are opened. There will be no other opportunity for public comment during the meeting.<em><\/em><\/li><li>Please e-mail <a href=\"mailto:ccouncil2@yakimawa.gov\">ccouncil2@yakimawa.gov<\/a> if you wish to provide written comment to the City Council.
