Jay Inslee\u2019s phased-in Safe Start program. Yakima County remains in Phase 1 of the program, which was established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The outdoor pool\u2019s continued closure this summer means Franklin Pool\u2019s programs and events, such as Paws in the Pool in August, will be canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City\u2019s indoor pool, Lions Pool, also remains closed due to restrictions associated with Phase 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are making every effort to have Lions Pool ready for re-opening once we reach the required phase of Gov. Inslee\u2019s Safe Start program,\u201d said Parks and Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yakima Parks and Recreation reminds the public that playground equipment at City parks are not available due to COVID-19.
