{"id":9304,"date":"2020-08-03T13:57:26","date_gmt":"2020-08-03T20:57:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=9304"},"modified":"2020-08-03T13:57:27","modified_gmt":"2020-08-03T20:57:27","slug":"city-offers-assistance-to-register-utility-accounts-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/city-offers-assistance-to-register-utility-accounts-online\/","title":{"rendered":"City Offers Assistance to Register Utility Accounts Online"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The City of Yakima Utility Services Division is offering free one-on-one assistance in person to help residents register their City water, sewer, garbage and irrigation accounts online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefit of online payment is it allows City utility customers to manage their accounts at their convenience without coming to Yakima City Hall, which is closed to the public due to the state\u2019s COVID-19 restrictions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The one-on-one sessions are by appointment only from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm each Tuesday starting August 11<sup>th<\/sup>. They will be held at the City\u2019s Harman Center, 101 N. 65<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please call the Utility Services Division at 575-6080 to schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents will need to bring the following to their appointment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Photo identification such as a driver\u2019s license or state-issued ID<\/li><li>City of Yakima utility invoice<\/li><li>Payment method<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following precautions are in place:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No more than two people per household should attend.<\/li><li>Residents are asked to stay home if they have any symptoms related to COVID-19.<\/li><li>When arriving for their appointment, residents will be met by City staff at the Harman Center\u2019s front door.<\/li><li>Masks, gloves and hand sanitizer will be provided if residents do not bring their own.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/utility-services\/\">https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/utility-services\/<\/a> for more about the Utility Services Division and online utility payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yakima County is in a modified Phase 1 of the state\u2019s Safe Start plan.
