{"id":9403,"date":"2020-08-14T09:04:31","date_gmt":"2020-08-14T16:04:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=9403"},"modified":"2020-08-14T09:04:32","modified_gmt":"2020-08-14T16:04:32","slug":"project-to-close-intersection-of-80th-avenue-and-zier-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/project-to-close-intersection-of-80th-avenue-and-zier-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Project to Close Intersection of 80th Avenue and Zier Road"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The intersection of 80<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and Zier Road will be closed to traffic for 11 days while City of Yakima crews replace and widen the roadway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closure will be in effect 24\/7 starting Monday, August 17<sup>th<\/sup>, and continuing through Thursday, August 27<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flaggers will be on site to help drivers access homes and businesses in the project area and to assist emergency vehicles if they need access to the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A detour will be in place throughout the project. The detour route will be 72<sup>nd<\/sup> Avenue to West Nob Hill Boulevard, then to 80<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue, then Wide Hollow Road to 96<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project work hours will be 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project may cause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection.
