{"id":9646,"date":"2020-09-23T15:14:51","date_gmt":"2020-09-23T22:14:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/?p=9646"},"modified":"2020-09-23T15:18:03","modified_gmt":"2020-09-23T22:18:03","slug":"deadlines-near-for-city-of-yakima-residents-small-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/news\/deadlines-near-for-city-of-yakima-residents-small-businesses\/","title":{"rendered":"Deadlines near for City of Yakima Residents, Small Businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Grant funding for small businesses in the City of Yakima, future housing plans and even future federal dollars&nbsp;for the City are all&nbsp;on the line with deadlines that are fast approaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>September 30th<\/strong> is the deadline to complete the City&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/points-of-interest\/housing-action-plan\/\">housing action plan survey<\/a>. Results of the survey will help the City of Yakima develop a housing action plan that meets future housing needs in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>September 30th<\/strong> is also the deadline to complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/2020census.gov\/\">2020 Census<\/a>. An accurate count is needed to ensure the City of Yakima receives its full share\u00a0of federal funding over the next decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 2nd<\/strong> is the deadline for small businesses in the city\u00a0to apply for up to $10,000 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/small-business-cares-grants\/\">Yakima CARES Act grant funding<\/a>.
