The customer should indicate in their email that they wish to upload their plans digitally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/codes\/permits\/\" style=\"border-radius:8px;background-color:#198754\"><strong>Download Permit Applications<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After staff enters the information into the permitting system, we will contact you to notify you that you may now upload your plans and pay the application fees.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you do not have an account on our Online Permit Center (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.buildingyakima.com\"><strong>www.buildingyakima.com<\/strong><\/a>), we will ask you to create one and email you an access code.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"plan-upload\">Plan Upload:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Select the appropriate application<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Move down the page to the submittals section<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Click \u201cupload\u201d and follow the prompts. Please upload <strong><u>ALL<\/u><\/strong> of the documents you are submitting for your project here, such as building plans, trusses, energy sheets, structural calculations, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\" id=\"important\"><strong>&nbsp;<u>IMPORTANT<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plans\/drawings should be uploaded as a set (one PDF) rather than individual pages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each PDF you upload to the Plan Upload line should be named appropriately in accordance with the document\u2019s content (e.g. \u201cstructural calculation,\u201d \u201ctrusses,\u201d \u201cenergy code forms,\u201d etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PDFs should be <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/helpx.adobe.com\/acrobat\/kb\/printing-complex-pdfs-acrobat.html\" target=\"_blank\">flattened<\/a> if they contain layers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PDFs should be unlocked whenever possible to allow the plans examiner to place their digital signature on it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The other submittals that appear below the \u201cPlan Upload\u201d submittal are used by staff only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>7. When you are ready to upload your corrected plans\/application materials, please log into your portal account and follow the previous steps to navigate to the submittals area of the permit and upload the documents to the \u201cPlan Upload\u201d submittal line.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><u>Note<\/u><\/strong>: If correcting individual pages within a plan set or other document, please re-upload the <strong><u>complete<\/u><\/strong> document with the changes incorporated. Please do not upload any individual pages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"plan-approval\">Plan Approval:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once the Plans Examiner has approved your plans, you will be notified by staff that your permit is ready to be issued pending any fees owing, any additional informational needed (such as contractor information if not known at the time of application), or any pre-permit conditions that need to be addressed.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><u>Note<\/u><\/strong>: The building permit and approved plans will only be released to the contractor, property owner, or the authorized agent of the property owner. If you are the authorized agent of the property owner, you must check that box on the building permit application when you sign and submit it to us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The permit will be issued via email and will be required to be signed and returned prior to release of the stamped approved plans. Then the approved plans will be provided to you digitally.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><u>Note<\/u><\/strong>: A hardcopy of the permit and stamped approved plans MUST be on site during construction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"revising-plans-after-permit-issuance\">Revising Plans After Permit Issuance:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you choose to revise your plans after the permit has already been issued, you must contact Codes staff so they create a new submittal line for the revised plans to allow you to upload them.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><u>Note<\/u><\/strong>: Additional plan review fees will be charged.
