Applications to hang a street banner or vertical banner shall be accepted only from licensed installers on behalf of qualified applicants. If adding onto existing gas piping all existing piping sizes, distances and size of&nbsp;existing appliances must be shown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A mechanical permit is required for residential oil tank abandonment and removals. A site plan must be submitted showing the subject property, the size of the tank to be abandoned or removed, and the location of the tank in relation to property lines and other structures on the lot. A site plan is required for all pole sign applications. In addition to a City of Yakima&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/codes\/licenses\/\">General Business License,&nbsp;a Sign Company License<\/a>&nbsp;is required pursuant to YMC 11.08 for sign companies who erect, remove, and service or maintains signs within the City of Yakima. For billboard signs please review the City of Yakima&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.codepublishing.com\/WA\/Yakima\/html\/yakima15\/Yakima1508.html#15.08\">Sign Code<\/a>&nbsp;online or contact our office at 509-575-6126 before submitting an application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/codes\/files\/Large-Project-Stormwater-Permit-Application-Packet_01-2025.pdf\">Stormwater Permit Application \u2013 *Large Project<\/a><\/strong>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If your project clears or grades one acre or more this permit type is required. More information can be found on the&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/wastewater-treatment-plant\/stormwater\/\">Stormwater<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stormwater Maintenance Agreement Required.<\/strong>&nbsp;If the stormwater facilities are private and will be privately maintained, a copy of the last vesting deed is required to be submitted along with the name of the legal owner or person authorized to sign on their behalf. After this information is submitted, the Stormwater Engineer will prepare the Agreement and then send it to the owner to get two original, notarized signatures either from the owner or person authorized to sign on their behalf. The owner then delivers the two original, signed agreements to the Surface Water Engineer, who will then obtain the necessary City Manager\u2019s signature. The Agreement will then be returned to the owner for recording at the Yakima County Auditor\u2019s office, with proof that it has been recorded provided to either the City Codes counter or the Stormwater Engineer Randy Meloy (<a href=\"mailto:Randy.Meloy@yakimawa.gov\">Randy.Meloy@yakimawa.gov<\/a>&nbsp;\/ (509) 576-6606),&nbsp;<strong><u>prior to final inspection\/issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy<\/u><\/strong>. The first day of each year, the latest Building Valuation Data issued by the ICC the previous year will be adopted by the City and the Master Fee Schedule will be updated accordingly.
