The emails falsely appear to be from our Community Development Department or Planning Division staff and request wire transfers or payments for fake invoices. We do not request sensitive personal or financial information through unsolicited emails. Payments related to planning or permitting processes are accepted online (<a href=\"https:\/\/ci-yakima-wa.smartgovcommunity.com\/Public\/Home\">www.buildingyakima.com<\/a>)&nbsp;or in person at Yakima City Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>News Release: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/media\/points-of-interest\/scam-alert\/\">Scam Alert | Points of Interest<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cruise the Ave Nights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>City Council passed <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.yakimawa.gov\/WebLink\/DocView.aspx?id=1148883&amp;dbid=0&amp;repo=CityOfYakima&amp;cr=1\">Resolution No. R-2026-047<\/a> setting the dates for open cruising events on Yakima Avenue for the summer of 2026.
