Therefore, subject to availability of funding and personnel, the City makes available a Graffiti Abatement Program. Owners of property within the city, and any owner who receives a notice issued pursuant to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.codepublishing.com\/WA\/Yakima\/#!\/Yakima11\/Yakima1140.html#11.40.302.10\">YMC 11.40.302.10<\/a>, may request assistance from the city\u2019s graffiti abatement program to abate graffiti placed on their property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participation in the Graffiti Abatement Program is voluntary but requires a Consent and Release From Liability form.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/refuse\/files\/2024\/08\/GraffitiAbatementProgramParticipationForm_August2023_ENGLISH_Fillable.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Consent and Release form Liability Form-Graffiti Abatement Program<\/mark><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yakimawa.gov\/services\/refuse\/files\/2024\/08\/GraffitiAbatementProgramParticipationForm_August-2023_SPANISH_Fillable-002-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><bdo lang=\"spanish\" dir=\"ltr\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Formulario de Consentimiento Para el Programa de Eliminacion de Graffiti<\/mark><\/bdo><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Property owners are strongly encouraged to abate graffiti on their property on their own due to the following constraints of participating in the Graffiti Abatement Program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Consent and Release From Liability form is&nbsp;<strong>valid for one year for tenants, two years for property managers, or five years for property owners&nbsp;<\/strong>from the year it is authorized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The permission form&nbsp;<strong>does not automatically renew<\/strong>. It needs be&nbsp;<strong>renewed at or before expiration<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&nbsp;<strong>waive your right to receive formal notice<\/strong>&nbsp;before entry onto your property for graffiti abatement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The City will&nbsp;<strong>only paint over graffiti<\/strong>&nbsp;and will not remove it through sand blasting or other means.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only the&nbsp;<strong>area affected by graffiti<\/strong>&nbsp;will be painted over with paint provided by the City, not the entire structure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>color of the paint will likely not match<\/strong>&nbsp;with the paint currently on the structure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>quality of the services or materials<\/strong>&nbsp;used will be determined solely by the City.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The owner, tenant, or property manager shall&nbsp;<strong>provide safe access<\/strong>&nbsp;to the area necessary to abate the graffiti with a&nbsp;<strong>24-hour advance notice<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No concealed hazards<\/strong>&nbsp;on the property.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>authorization may be revoked or terminated&nbsp;<\/strong>at any time.
