The Clean City Program is committed to enhancing Yakima’s quality of life by reducing blight, keeping neighborhoods safe and beautiful, and inspiring community pride through education, partnerships, and ongoing clean-up efforts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The City of Yakima Refuse Division continues to work hard each day to meet your trash removal needs. We ask that our customers help keep our refuse workers safe by complying with these simple steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Please continue to bag all trash.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Please make sure all bags are completely closed and tied.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Please have carts out by 6:00 am<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Items left at the curb will not be picked up without prior arrangements made with the refuse department. All garbage must fit inside your cart with the lid closed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Curb side haul away service<\/strong>

    Yakima residents can schedule a curbside pick-up for large items that don’t fit in a regular garbage cart. This service makes it easy to safely and responsibly dispose of oversized household items.

    The service is available to Yakima residents who receive City Utility Services.

    Pick up starts at $25. Additional charges may apply for certain items. See List.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    * Please have containers at the curb or alley line by 6:00 a.m<\/strong>. on the day of your scheduled pick-up.
    *Please have all of your garbage bagged.
    *Place your cart at the curb or alley line at least 4 feet away from any obstruction, including other garbage or yard waste carts, vehicles, fences, mailboxes, power poles, etc.
    *Place your cart with the wheels facing your residence and the lid opening towards the road.
    *Avoid placing the container under low hanging tree branches, wires, eaves, or other objects.
    *Please refrain from parking your vehicle in front of, or within 4 feet of the cart.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
