Observed a male with light colored hair exit from underneath the train/building at the old Track 29. The male spent a considerable amount of time securing the entry way prior to leaving the area, as if he is living underneath the building. The exact location is the 2 rail cars (cream colored top half and dark colored bottom half) there is a building added to the rail cars in the middle. The entry location was from the north, then walk south along the east side of the rail cars, when you get to the building, underneath the building portion is where he exited.

A memorial has been erected here and the contents of it are spread all over the corner of the fence and draped all across the sidewalk so you either have to walk over it or around it on to the grass or into the street if there is a car parked on the planting strip.

2405 W LINCOLN AVE, YAKIMA, 98902
The arbor vitae (arbs) trees that form a privacy border along W Lincoln Ave for this condominium complex almost completely obscure the sidewalks. They grow out to make it impossible for two people to pass on the sidewalk abreast and for one tall person to have to walk in the grass. This was an especially big problem last winter, because the plowed snow was piled up on the street side of the sidewalk and there was a very narrow place to walk with the arbs growing into the sidewalk. I know that the residents of this complex employ a yard maintenance service. I don't know why trimming the arbs out of the sidewalk isn't part of their regular maintenance.

I would like to shout out to parking enforcement, specifically Officer Peterson. He is awesome at helping us out on S.8th Ave to get rid of some motor homes that repeatedly move into our neighborhood and try to take over. Astria Hospital won’t do their job in clearing their parking lot despite numerous calls to security. But when they finally get sick of the residents calling, and they do clear it, these folks end up on my street. That’s when Mr Peterson comes in real handy. A word of advice to everyone complaining about parking enforcement- call city hall and lodge your complaint. They will ask you if you’d like to be contacted by the assigned officer. You can remain anonymous. They will call ya back if you request it. It’s worth it to form a bond with the officer who works your area. I thank you guys for your help and work in trying to clean it all up!

We manage the City owned Visitor Information Center across from Target. To the S. of the building and parking lot is a dog station. The lot there I think is pretty close to the overpass. I think we have a homeless person that set up they are using cardboard, tumble weeks to hide it. Today a shopping cart full of junk is there. Could you please have someone look at it? I didn't know who to call - so I went this route.

Blue semi with 52' trailer attached is parking at night and on weekends on s 60th ave.. Lots of traffic and residents parking on street, and this effectively narrows roadway to one lane. Also truck must use narrow residential streets to enter and leave the location. Violation of Ordinance - 9.50.100. TIA for stopping this.

Neighbors at 710 S 30th Avenue have one dog “Max” that they let run around the streets, 24/7/365 and another dog (fenced) that barks nonstop. Max almost looks German Shepard (but probably isn’t) and constantly harasses people walking their dogs and poops and barks in other people’s lawns. The owners make no attempt to keep him under control. The other dog is fenced in their backyard and barks all day and night. All I can tell is that it’s a brown medium large sized dog. Thank you for your assistance.

A couple years ago you guys imported a sewer cleaning concern from Oregon to clean out the pipes. Those guys set up at the man hole cleaning the pipe and leapfrogged all the way up the line . They did not spend over 10 minutes at each stop and were on to the next one. All the while our team was on the bench. Please explain in detail why our team can take all morning for this same 10 minute job . Thank you in advance

Why don’t we have the garbage men drop off refuse containers (garbage cans) for the homeless camps ? This would be a cost saving option for the rate paying public . The people would have a way of disposing of thier refuse, and save code enforcment untold hours trying to clean up after these camping areas . While I’m on the sanitation issue how about providing toilets (out houses) around town for public use ( homless) people could use them . The city has the sewer team already driving around , it wouldn’t cost us anything.

The two crosswalk poles on the north west corner of 16th and River Rd have been hit by a trailer. The poles are leaning and concrete bases are crumbling. This has been that way for a while, on a major road entering town, one of the first things visitors see as they enter Yakima from the freeway.

93rd Avenue is a private gated neighborhood North of Summitview Avenue. Due to construction at Apple Valley Elementary School the West Valley School District has located a bus stop in front of our neighborhood that includes families that do not live on our street but are deemed to be within walking distance to this bus stop. Weekday afternoons between 3:45 and 4:15 pm there have been multiple cars parked in front of our gates blocking access to our homes. These are parents who have driven to park here to pick up their kids from the bus stop. This is not a parking area, it is only for access in and out of the N 93rd Avenue neighborhood and is private property. By parking here, these vehicles are not only trespassing, they are impeding access to the neighborhood for residents as well as blocking our community mailbox from the mail carrier and preventing emergency vehicles from being able to enter and exit, thereby restricting emergency access. I have spoken to the West Valley School District Transportation Department but they are unable to address the problem and suggested we contact YPD regarding this matter.

1106 FOLSOM AVE, YAKIMA, 98902
The alleyway between the 1100 block of Folsom and Browne avenues has been essentially demolished and ruined by the resident of 1106 Folsom avenue. Said resident loves to garden and water down the alleyway. He leaves the water running to create massive craters, and potholes in the terrain for residents to drive on. After making repairs to the alleyway, I told the official in charge what the resident was doing, and how he would damage the alleyway again by leaving his water hose in the alley, flooding it; creating an almost un- useable right if way for vehicles to use. He told me to contact the city and talk to someone. I forgot the name, but I'm sure it had Denny in it. My parking space is in the back of my home, like other neighbors, so I require access to get out each day. He has made the alley very unpleasant to drive through from his constant flooding and corrosion of the terrain. I know his flooding and the corrosion it causes, is to blame for my tie rods messing up, and other automotive issues with suspension etc. Please address this. This has been an ongoing problem not only for myself, but for other citizens as well. He does this every single year, and it has to stop!

Codes and parking need to raid N 6 th street from Yakima Ave. North to K st. They will find 27 or more. unauthorized cars on the public right of way and at least 6 residences with yards full of junk cars . Some years ago the city purchased and has kept buying more jetvacs to clean out the storm drains . Please explain why we don’t see the machines being used . Isn’t it time these highly trained and paid men start cleaning the system ? After any amount of rain the slow drains flood . I might ad during fires the stopped up drain issues are clearly visible too .

the city should print the parking limits in a conspicuous place on the water bills and encourage the neighborhood members to call in these derelict cars. Now is the time to save our fair city from blight that has been creeping now even into the westside (high rent district)

why does the parking enforcement need a $100,000.00 reader ? Why don't they put trackers on the officers they have hiding out at the joints around town ? For just a few dollars they could monitor their movements and see how they are spending time. They have put NO EFFORT in for years . a few weeks of HONEST WORK and they could clean up this mess that has built up over the years of no enforcement . We watched those guys hiding out at Majors parking lot for years, put not lately
