Yakima’s Capitol Theatre opened in 1920, burned in 1975, and re-opened three years later as a performing arts center. Local music educator Douglas Nott wrote a symphony celebrating four significant Washington places in which he gave greatest prominence to the movement titled “Theatre on Third Street.” The Yakima Symphony Orchestra premiered his work on March 20, 1982.

Displayed is sheet music for “Theatre on Third Street” by Douglas Nott.
