Two U.S. Marine Corps Harrier jet pilots made an unexpected stop on Friday, March 30th at Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field.

A crew of U.S. Marine jet mechanics and technicians were called in to work on an electrical problem experienced by one of the jets shortly after they took off from Whidbey Island last Friday afternoon.

While work on the aircraft is underway this week, regular commercial flights at Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field continue as scheduled.

Yakima Air Terminal Director Rob Peterson says the aircraft and crews could remain in Yakima until the middle of this week. He said airport staff are making all efforts to accommodate the U.S. Marine pilots and crew during their stay in the City of Yakima.
