State v. Blake Refund Information
In 2021, the Washington State Supreme Court found the law criminalizing drug possession unconstitutional. As a result of this decision, known as State v. Blake, any Blake-related convictions qualify to be removed (vacated) from one’s criminal record, and any legal financial obligations (LFOs) LFO Payments are fines and fees a court ordered you to pay because of your drug possession conviction, and you paid those fines and fees to municipal court. This means your LFO payments were tracked by the administrator of a court of limited jurisdiction. As a result, you may qualify for financial reimbursement. Washington State Administrative office of the Courts has created a portal for these specific cases.
