Blue Heron by Elizabeth Dreher

Glass, 2001.

The Great Blue Heron is a symbol of power because of its enduring presence here in our Valley. It can be seen daily in flight across our skies. Along the water’s edge, it stands in determined solitude and patient anticipation, seldom going unrewarded. The heron’s dance-like movements are performed in mindful slow motion as it reflects for us the wisdom and power of nature.
