***Due to staffing shortages, if you are coming to visit us regarding Engineering (ENG), Excavation (EXC), or Right of Way Use permits, we encourage you to make an appointment so we can ensure staff is available to assist you. NEW HOURS BEGINNING APRIL 21ST
Beginning April 21, 2025, the Permits and Engineering Counters on the 2nd floor of City Hall will be open Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EXCEPT Wednesdays until further notice (please contact the staff member/division directly that you need to meet with to schedule); Wednesdays will be by appointment only. We will be open during the lunch hour once these new counter hours begin.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we alter our hours to accommodate training of new staff in order to better serve you.

Traffic Engineering
Traffic Engineering is responsible for developing and maintaining traffic signal operational plans, design and review of traffic signals, striping, sign layouts, as well as traffic studies, collision analysis, collection of transportation system data, traffic impact reviews for proposed developments, transportation planning and grant applications.
