Definitions
- Biosolids – a primarily organic solid product, produced by wastewater treatment processes that can be beneficially recycled.
- Influent – wastewater or other liquid – raw or partially treated – flowing into a reservoir, basin, treatment process, or treatment plant.
- Effluent – wastewater or other liquid – raw, partially, or completely treated – flowing from a reservoir, basin, treatment process, or treatment plant.
- Organic – material that comes mainly from animal or plant sources and can be broken down by bacteria and other small organisms.
