The City of Yakima Refuse Department is not operating a free leaf bag pickup service this fall.

Yakima residents can still dispose of non-bagged leaves and other yard waste through the City’s Refuse Division by signing up for Yard Waste service. The monthly cost of a 96-gallon yard waste cart is $16.30. Yard waste carts are picked up weekly from March 1st to November 30th and unloaded at the Yakima County Landfill in Terrace Heights.

Residents who would like to have their bagged yard waste picked up by Refuse drivers can do so at a cost of $2.77 per bag, arrangements need to be made before collection by calling the Refuse Division at 575-6005.
