Drivers should be alert for parking and lane changes at Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field (YKM) starting Monday, July 28th. Temporary traffic control measures are needed while crews replace three canopies in front of the terminal building: an east covered sidewalk, west covered sidewalk and a covered walkway between the main parking lot and building.
The canopy is part of a larger modernization project now underway at YKM, including new roof and new HVAC installation expected to be complete by the end of this October.
City of Yakima and YKM communication platforms will provide updates as needed for the ongoing terminal modernization project.
