City of Yakima garbage collection will not be delayed. Garbage will be collected on schedule.

Garbage collection in the City of Yakima will be delayed for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day since both holidays fall on a Wednesday this year.  For example; if your regular pick-up day is Wednesday, it will be picked up on Thursday.  If Friday is your regular day, it will be picked up on Saturday.

City Garbage and Yard Waste collection will be delayed one day for Thanksgiving on November 22nd, 2018. Customers with garbage and yard waste pick up on Thursday or Friday will be picked up one day later. Regular Collection will resume the following Monday, November 26th, 2018. Yard Waste service ends for the year on Friday,

The City of Yakima Refuse Division will be collecting garbage on our regular schedule the week of February 20th – 24th. The Refuse Division offices will be closed.

City of Yakima yard waste services will discontinue for the year on Wednesday November 30th, 2016 and resume March 1st, 2017.   If you need to have your container emptied after the last week of November please contact the Refuse Division at 575-6005.   Don’t forget, the week of November 21st-25th – if your regular pick

Yakima residents can still dispose of leaves and other yard waste through the City’s Refuse & Recycling Division by signing up for a 96-gallon yard waste bin. The monthly cost of a yard waste bin is about $12.00 ($2.96 per week). Yard waste bins are picked up weekly and unloaded at the Yakima County Landfill
