Christmas Day & New Year’s Day

Garbage collection in the City of Yakima will be delayed for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day since both holidays fall on a Monday this year.  For example; if your regular pick-up day is Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday.  If Friday is your regular day, it will be picked up on Saturday.

Thanksgiving Day Delay

City Garbage and Yard Waste collection will be delayed one day for Thanksgiving on November 22nd, 2018. President’s Day – No Delay

The City of Yakima Refuse Division will be collecting garbage on our regular schedule the week of February 20th – 24th. The Refuse Division offices will be closed.

Yard Service Pickup Ends November 30th

City Garbage collection for residents with collection on Friday, July 4th will be delayed by one (1) day due to Independence Day. Those with regular pickup on Friday will be picked up on Saturday. We will resume the normal collection schedule the following week.
