The City of Yakima, Office of Neighborhood Development Services (ONDS) will hold the first of several public hearings and provide opportunity for public input in order to develop the upcoming 2025 Annual Action Plan and the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan for the HUD-funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs.  Input is requested from city residents regarding affordable housing, community development, and other current or proposed activities.

  • 2025 entitlement funds for CDBG are estimated at $1,050,000.
  • 2025 entitlement funds for HOME are estimated at $450,000.

The first public hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Yakima City Hall Council Chambers at 129 N. 2nd St, Yakima, WA 98901. Future public hearings will be advertised once they are scheduled. The draft 2025 Annual Action Plan and draft 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan will be available on the City of Yakima website at a later date.

Any and all written comment to be considered as public input must be mailed or hand-delivered to the Office of Neighborhood Development Services, 112 S 8th Street, Yakima, WA 98901, or emailed to ask.planning@yakimawa.gov.
