The Yakima City Council held its most recent regular agenda business meeting on Tuesday, June 4th. Action taken by the Council on June 4th included:
– Exempting the gambling tax on the first $15 thousand dollars for nonprofit corporations
– Approving the purchase of 74 police vehicles and replacing 70 firefighter air packs
– Clarifying the comprehensive plan amendment process
– Vacating a portion of North 2nd Avenue between West Lincoln and West “D” Street
– Conducting a public hearing on the six-year Transportation Improvement Program
