Overnight Closure Planned for 3rd Ave and Pine St Intersection

The intersection of 3rd Avenue and Pine Street will be closed to traffic overnight this Friday, March 1st, for work to replace a trolley pole.

The following closures will be in effect during scheduled work hours of 12:00 am to 6:00 am so contractors can replace the pole, which was damaged in January:

  • 3rd Avenue from Walnut Street to Division Street
  • Pine Street from 2nd Avenue to 4th Avenue 

Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour. 

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
