Water levels in the pond at the City of Yakima’s Randall Park will be lowered temporarily this week and next week due to installation of a new sewer line.
“The contractor would like to lower the pond a few feet tomorrow (Thursday) morning. Then intermittently next week,” said Utility Project Manager Dana Kallevig. “By the end of next week water levels in the pond should be back to normal.”
The new sewer line will be installed for new home construction on the 44th Avenue side of the Randall Park pond.
