The annual Fresh Hop Ale Festival will be held in Downtown Yakima this Saturday, October 5th.
The event begins at 4:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm. Organizers are expecting more than 6,500 participants this year at a new site, 5 West Yakima Avenue, at the former Department of Ecology parking lot.
As a result, 1st Avenue will be closed to traffic from Yakima Avenue to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. The closure will be in effect this Saturday from 8:00 am, when set-up will begin, until 10:00 pm when the festival ends.
