The Yakima City Council held its most recent regular agenda business meeting on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016.
Action taken by the Council on July 5th included:
– Moving ahead with plans to build the Yakima Central Plaza Project
– Adopting Planning Commission recommendations on Marijuana land use regulations
– Using proceeds from an election lawsuit settlement to develop a student internship program
– Immediate relocation of a homeless encampment to a temporary location on City of Yakima-owned property on the corner of 3rd Street and Walnut Avenue
– Establishing a temporary homeless encampment on Yakima Neighborhood Health property located at the corner of 6th Street and East Chestnut Avenue
