The Yakima City Council held a regular business meeting yesterday, Tuesday, September 19th.
Action by the Council on September 19th included:
- Voting against implementing a proposed temporary closure of parking lot #2 near the Capitol Theatre.
- Approving a letter to members of Congress and others in support of comprehensive immigration reform.
- Sending the proposed conversion of Naches Parkway to a City park to the Council Neighborhood and Community Building Committee for further review.
- Directing staff to review the possibility of expanding the Downtown Yakima Business Improvement District boundary.
- Approving Yakima Transit’s Development Plan for 2017-22 and its annual report for 2016.
- Approving a proposal for a Truck Route Ad Hoc Committee.
