Oath of Office

With her family looking on, new Yakima City Clerk Rosalinda Ibarra receives the oath of office during the Yakima City Council meeting on April 4th. Ibarra, a longtime City employee, is replacing Sonya Claar Tee, who will retire in June after serving the City of Yakima for more than 30 years.


Community Cleanup Crew

The City of Yakima Public Works Department joined with several community groups and volunteers for a free community cleanup event on Saturday, March 25th, in the Barge Lincoln neighborhood. The mosaic is located on the south wall of WFCC, 602 N. 4th Street. It was installed last fall thanks to the Millennium Foundation and its partnership with Tieton Mosaics. Click Think Spring


Nelson Dam Progress

The project reached a milestone on Dec. 2, 2022 with removal of a temporary sheet pile wall that had been at the work site for about a year. Current focus on the project is concrete
