The closure of Adams Street between S. 8th Street and S. 9th Street is extended to 3 pm Monday, April 13th.
A stormwater project to restore curb and gutter on Adams Street began last Friday, April 3rd. The original schedule called for Adams Street to re-open tomorrow, Friday, April 10th.
However, work was impacted by unsuitable soil conditions. That has now been mitigated and the project, which addresses drainage issues and repairs a section of roadway, will continue through Monday.
Access is maintained to properties in the project areas.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid this section of Adams Street, if possible, which will remain open to local traffic only. Adams Street will be closed to thru traffic.
As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
