Paws in the Pool is Sunday, Aug. 18th

Swimmers both human and canine are invited to the annual Paws in the Pool event from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 18th at the City of Yakima’s Franklin Pool, 2101 Tieton Drive. Yakima Parks and Recreation organizes the event for dogs and their owners each summer on the last day of operation

Lions Pool, an indoor facility owned and operated by the City of Yakima, is closed from Monday, August 5th, through Sunday, August 18th, so needed annual maintenance on the pool can be performed. Building Removal to Close Naches Avenue

Starting Monday, July 22nd, Russell Crane will remove the Buckingham apartment building that sustained significant fire damage earlier this year. As a result, Naches Avenue will be closed 24/7 between East Walnut Street and East Spruce Street from 6:00 am Monday through Friday, July 26th.
