Responding to more than 2,200 graffiti incidents, contacting more than 3,700 individuals experiencing homelessness and clearing more than 183 tons of garbage were some of the City of Yakima Clean City Program activities in 2023. The City’s Traffic Operations Division asks drivers to be aware of temporary traffic signal outages over the next two to three months. Outages will be about five minutes or less and are required for annual traffic signal maintenance. The City of Yakima has 115 intersections with traffic signals. A moratorium on enforcing parking violations in the downtown area of the City of Yakima is extended through April 19th. The Yakima City Council extended the moratorium during its regular meeting last night, Tuesday.
