The City of Yakima’s Harman Center will be closed next week, March 2-7, for an annual deep cleaning.  “The building gets a lot of use and it’s time for a spring cleaning,” said Recreation Program Supervisor Leslie Richards.  Work will include dusting fixtures, cleaning window blinds, carpet cleaning and pressure-washing the kitchen, Richards said.  The

Water line work will result in traffic restrictions on South 18th Street between Viola Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard from Monday, February 23rd, through Friday, February 27th. Work will begin at 7:00 am and last until 3:30 pm each day.   Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction in the project area. Due to heavy traffic volumes on South 18th Street, drivers can expect delays. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.  Drivers are encouraged to slow down and proceed cautiously
