Yakima City Council Approves 2023-24 Budget

The Yakima City Council approved the City’s 2023-24 biennial budget during its regular meeting last night, Tuesday, November 15th. The budget calls for $269,819,797 in total spending in 2023, including $73,349,628 for the General Fund. Reservoir Repair and Improvement Project Begins

A project to repair and improve the 1st Level Reservoir will begin Monday, November 14th. The reservoir is on the southeast corner of North 40th Avenue and Englewood Avenue. City Plans Holiday Closures for Veterans Day

Many of the City of Yakima’s facilities will be closed Friday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day. That includes City Hall, Y-PAC, and Parks and Recreation offices. Downtown Yakima Parade to Honor Veterans

The Yakima community will honor its veterans and all U.S. military veterans by staging the 2022 Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Yakima on Friday, November 11th. The parade is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars – Post 379. The parade will begin at 10:45 am at the intersection of Yakima Avenue and 6th Street.
