Drivers are asked to avoid the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Mead Avenue if possible today, Thursday, as crews are replacing a traffic signal cabinet.
The traffic signal at the intersection is out for most of the day today. Traffic is restricted to one lane each way, with temporary stop signs in place.
Crews hope to have the work complete by 3:00 pm today.
A motor vehicle accident last night took out the traffic signal cabinet at the intersection, requiring installation of a new cabinet.
