City of Yakima offices will be closed Thursday, December 25^th, and Thursday, January 1^st, in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. 

Business offices for the Police and Fire Departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available. 

The City of Yakima’s Municipal Court will be closed both days. 

Yakima Transit will not provide bus service on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Regular transit service will resume on December 26^th and January 2^nd. 

There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. The City’s Refuse Division will operate on a one-day delay. Garbage scheduled for pickup on Thursday (Dec. 25^th and Jan. 1^st) will instead be collected Friday (Dec. 26^th and Jan. 2^nd). Collections scheduled for Friday will be on Saturday (Dec. 27^th and Jan. 3^rd). 

Lions Pool closes at 1:00 pm on December 24^th and December 31^st. The pool will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Lions Pool will resume its regular hours on December 26^th and January 2^nd. 

The City’s Harman Center will be closed December 24^th and 25^th and on January 1^st.
