City of Yakima Designated a Fan Zone for World Cup 2026

The City of Yakima is one of nine cities in Washington State named World Cup 2026 Fan Zone sites. The designation was announced during a news conference in Seattle on Tuesday, January 14th.

“Yakima is excited to be a SeattleFWC26 fan zone location for the FIFA World Cup 2026! We’re proud of Yakima’s long and rich sports history,” said Yakima Mayor Patricia Byers. “Being a fan zone location will build on that legacy.”

SeattleFWC26 is the organizing committee for Seattle’s participation as one of 16 host
cities selected for the FIFA World Cup in 2026
